Copeland Family Fun in Utah!

For our summer family vacation, as many as possible met in Utah, so four of the seven children and their families were there for a wonderful week of many great experiences!
Kevin and Angie, Kyle and Kim, and George and I were able to go to a temple session at the Mt. Timpanogos temple. It was fantastic to be together in the temple.

On Sunday, we were able to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir television/radio program in the Conference Center. It just gave you chills to be there and hear the choir and symphony. We all loved it!

Other adventures we had through the week, included a fun barbecue at Kyle and Kim's. The kids had to show George and I all their tricks on the trampoline, and then we got to make s'mores on their little campfire.

Carter, Grandpa, Connor, and Kyle make the campfire. The fire actually stays burning!

Brady and Hannah think s'mores are the best!
Tyson agrees!

Kyle and Kim's family has added a new member to their family, a kitten named "Bella," while Kevin and Angie's family has added a little dog named "Koda." Both families are so in love with these new pets. We learned to love them, too, while we were there.

Throughout the evening, we were so "bugged" by so many hornets, so Taylor and Grandpa put up a hornet catcher. It was unbelievable how fast those hornets started going to the catcher. George started a contest to see who could guess how many would be in there the next day. The trouble was--there were so many, we couldn't count them all!

We didn't get to see Taylor that much while we were in Utah because he was in golf tournaments everyday, plus there were tryouts for the school golf team. He has been on the varsity team ever since he was a Freshman. We are so proud of him! We enjoyed the time we did have with him.

On Wednesday we went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway Mall. The children had such great fun while learning at the same time!

Hannah gathers balls to send them through the vacuum tubes.

Preston had as much fun as all the others!

Tyson runs a big crane to construct a building, while Brady takes the blocks off at the top.
Hannah puts together the building.

Brady works as a sandwich maker in the deli department.

Jenna and Lauren go shopping.

Kade is the checker at the grocery store.

Rock climbing was a favorite of Tyson and Hannah.

Carter sees what objects will fly under the wind tunnel.

Carter and Kade create new designs.

Carter loves to construct buildings!

Jenna, Lauren, & Tyson go horseback riding.

Brady drives a red jeep (along with an unidentified co-driver) taking Jenna, Hannah, Lauren, and Preston, for a little joy ride.

Tyson, Lauren, and Jenna are in a production of "The Three Little Pigs." (Tyson is the wolf, in case you can't tell.)

Jenna and Lauren are the local anchors for a television production.

Now Hannah and Tyson give it a try. (It really was televised throughout the building!)

But probably the favorite was the rescue helicopter on the top of the building. It had all the real sounds, and I was afraid they were really going to take off!

Wow! Who said learning can't be fun! More exciting memories to follow. But we are back home now and I will post more tomorrow. After only 3 1/2 hours of sleep last night, I'm pretty well hammered tonight!
