Grandpa Rigby Comes to Visit!

We have been looking forward to my dad coming to visit for the past couple of months.  He came in Friday night from Idaho, and we have been on the run ever since!  Grandpa finally got to meet Lola who is named after my mother.  He loved her room and wanted a picture taken in front of her name:
He got emotional when he looked at the picture on Lola's shelf--his favorite picture of Grandma Lola!

Craig, Cassie, and Baby Riley came over for the weekend, too.  I can't wait until Riley and Lola will start noticing the other one and be able to start playing with each other!
We all went to an Easter lunch and Easter egg hunt at the church which was really a lot of fun.

Lola and her little friend loved the eggs!

Grandpa George teasing all the kids on the hunt.  (There were eggs in the tree.)

This was definitely not a time for pictures--Lola was missing out on all the fun!
On Sunday, we had our ward conference and our choir sang and I played, plus then on Sunday night, we had our Easter Cantata at the Stake Center, and I played again.  It was a pretty draining day--but it was wonderful!

This Week in Review

This past week seemed a little hectic, as most weeks generally seem lately, but on Thursday, I had a great time tending Baby Riley for Craig and Cassie when Craig needed Cassie at the dental school all day to assist him.  It was so fun getting to know Riley better.  He is a little squirmer who doesn't sleep long periods of time, but when he was asleep, I tried to help out a little around the house.

Mia and I became great friends.  I knew next to Riley, Mia is pretty important in the Copeland household.  I made sure I always knew where she was.  One time I really freaked out because I couldn't find her anywhere in the house.  I opened Cassie's closet to put something away, and when she jumped out, I screamed so loud, I thought you could have heard me ten miles away!  I guess she likes hiding in  Cassie's closet and chewing on her slippers!  I'm amazed I didn't wake up Riley!

George and I had to speak on Sunday, so we both worked on our talks whenever we could.  Sunday night after the talks were all over, ward choir practice and stake choir practice were over, we had a fun little birthday party for Isaac.  He is turning four years old on Monday, so we celebrated Sunday night.

He is still very much into Transformers.  He and Garrett seemed to really like the Transformer card, but Isaac especially loved his Transformer cake.  He smiled from ear to ear when Amy brought it out!

He is such an enthusiastic little boy.  Happy Birthday, Isaac!  We love you!

Lola sat on Grandpa's lap during the party.  She likes to mess his hair up like hers after a bath!

Baby Riley Turns 5 Weeks Old

Isn't it amazing how much faster the weeks go after a baby is born than before?  I can't believe Riley is already six weeks old.  Here are some pictures of him at five weeks--isn't he a miniature version of Craig?  We all certainly think so!

Happy First Birthday, Lola!

I can't believe little Lola is now one year old!  She has been such a joy to everyone who is around her, and we all love her very much.

Amy couldn't wait to order her first birthday cake--it had to be a "Hello, Kitty" cupcake cake like she and Alison would have died for when they were young.  So here it is:

Little Lola has been sick for the last couple of days, so she wasn't feeling her usual bubbly self.  I guess she really didn't want to look at the flash on the camera--maybe it hurt her eyes, because she refused to look or just shut her eyes instead.

Finally, after trying to get her to turn her head, not touch her bow, and not shut her eyes, the poor liittle girl just burst into tears.  We all felt terrible!

Daddy started talking to her, and we all decided looking at the camera or not, she looked adorable!  We just let her enjoy the rest of her party!

Garrett and Isaac surely enjoyed the party, too!
Grandpa made Lola feel better by showing her it was okay to eat the cake very messy-like!
Baby Riley came for the party, too.  He wondered what all the comotion was about!
Lola loved opening her presents--she got her first doll!
And now the dolly has a stroller and Lola has a walker, too!
What a fun, fun birthday!
Another big event of the day was Garrett's first soccer game.  We all got comfortable for a big game!
Craig and Cassie and Baby Riley came to watch, too.
Go, Garrett!
The little ones loved being outside.
Coach telling the guys how well they had done--and their team won!
The after-game treats were great--brought by Garrett's mommy.
And where was Isaac the whole game--in the dirt pile, of course!
