So pretty soon there won't be enough space for the title, but I had to tell you about a few other special events in the Copeland family in the month of March:
Lola's Three-Year-Old Birthday
The favorite food of choice for Amy's kids is pizza--so what better place to hold Lola's three-year-old birthday party than at Pizza Hut. We practically had the restaurant to ourselves, and we all enjoyed seeing her react to all the presents, fun, and attention paid her as only a little three-year-old can do!

I love it when the siblings are almost excited as the birthday person themselves!
Lola is such a fun and happy little girl. Whether she comes to our house, or we go to hers, I think she thinks we are best friends. She wants me to jump on the bed with her (I don't really do it), get on the floor and play all sorts of games with her, play in her kitchen with her, or even asks me to get inside a tiny little tent she got for Christmas which is hotter than you know what inside. But, she always has something fun for us to do!
See what I mean about excited brothers? They are always willing to help their little sister out.
Definitely, the hit of the night was a little "Tangled" music/ jewelry box that she could unlock with a special little key which she wore around her neck.
Happy Birthday, Lola! We surely love you!
Isaac's Six-Year-Old Birthday
A mere ten days later, Isaac turned six years old! This was one mighty happy little six-year-old boy. He was really counting the days after Lola's birthday, because he knew his birthday was next!
Amy had made this darling sign and decorated the room so special for Isaac's big day.
I don't know of a kid who has changed more in a year. Isaac went from a little guy who hardly ever talked, to someone who is loving school and becoming very interactive. It has been fun to see the change!
These two brothers are best friends. You hardly ever hear a cross word between them!
He has been learning to read this year which he is loving to do.
Lola watched Isaac opening his presents on her Papa George's lap, dressed in her "Tangled" dress which is her favorite!
Isaac's mom had taken cupcakes to school. These were the few left. Of course, they involved "Transformers," Garrett and Isaac's favorite super heroes.
Garrett and his dad worked so hard on his pinewood derby car. Somehow Jeff still seemed to put in the time to do this with Garrett--even though he is swamped with school work, as well as overtime at his work.
Keeping the young people busy and motivated in great activities is always good, and scouting has so many wonderful ways to help out in this area. Keep it up, Garrett! In a few more years, you will be joining your older cousins in proudly proclaiming you are an Eagle Scout!
Relief Society Birthday
The Relief Society was organized by the Prophet Joseph Smith through inspiration of the Lord on March 17, 1842, for the purpose of strengthening the women of the church, aged 18 and above, through gospel lessons on Sunday morning, as well as meetings where homemaking skills are learned during the week. In addition, visiting teaching is set up so that every woman in the Relief Society is visited at least once a month in order to help that particular sister in any way they can. "Charity never faileth," is the motto, so compassionate service activities are on-going all the time. This organization is the largest woman's organization in the world. I seriously don't know how I could have raised my seven children without it.
Each year, women all over the world celebrate the birthday of the Relief Society in the month of March. This year, the theme was "Errand of Angels." Since Amy is part of the Relief Society Presidency, she was involved heavily in preparing the invitations, programs, and decorations.

Kent's Birthday
And since we are talking about "March Madness," I had to share this very fun idea that Natalie came up with since Kent's birthday is in March. These were the invitations that she sent out:

They always have a special presentation to the former presidents of the Relief Society. Since I was a president when we lived in Salt Lake City shortly after Craig was born, I was included in that group.

Oh, how I wish I could have been there. I'm sure there were laughs galore! Happy Birthday, Kent! Since he was born the day before St. Patrick's Day, the nurses would always bring him into me in his little bed with shamrocks all over it. I've always said he was my lucky baby! We love you, Kent!

Your March was crazy but good crazy for sure. Little Lola's birthday and Isaac's birthdays looked like such fun. They are both beautiful, happy-looking children. I also loved Natalie's cute party for Kent. She always seems to do things with a flare which makes a party even better. And pinewood derbies--what can I say but I have more than enough memories of five boys' derby cars coming in close to the last every time. We were not good at those things since we lived in the same ward as all the engineers from the nuclear site. Our favorite memory was Brian telling his fiend whose father was a carpenter that he didn't feel badly the Boyle car didn't do well. Brian said, "My father is just a lawyer!!" Tell Jeff congratulations for helping his son even though he didn't really have time. Great guy and great post.

I agree, your March has been Madness, no wonder we have not been talking on a daily basis :) This was so fun to read all the fun things you and dad have been doing with the kids. However, I'm still laughing over Lola wanting you to get into the hot as you know what tent!! Better you than me Grandma!!
What would you and George have done without Amy's family close by, especially with little Lola! They are such darling happy children. It's fun to see pictures of events you tell me about on the telephone--the birthday parties, the Pinewood Derby, your Relief Society event!
