Happy Father's Day!

Don't you just love the special days that you can really thank those who are so special in your life?  I mean, we should be doing that all the time, I guess--but, special days make us reflect deeper and that makes us more grateful!

With it being Father's Day today, I want to express my appreciation to my wonderful husband of 44 years who has been such a great father to our seven children as they were growing up, and still is such an influence in their lives now that they are all in homes of their own.

I love this family picture and still like to envision when we all still looked like this.

But, they are now all fathers and mothers, themselves, and have given us 24 wonderful grandchildren, with the 25th on the way.  Today was such a special day for George because he either got to see or talk to every one of them.

We love having Jeff and Amy living so close by.  We get to see them often and really enjoy their family.  Their family stopped by after church, so we spent some time with them.
Jeff is a wonderful dad to their three children.  He is very loving and they all have such a great time doing things with him.  We appreciate the great husband he is to Amy.

After seeing Jeff and Amy and their family, we drove a little below Daytona to Port Orange.   There we met up with Kyle and Kim and their family and had Father's Day dinner with them.
It has been so great having them move to Florida and seeing them more often than when they lived in Utah.  (Jenna is currently in Utah right now seeing friends and family there.  We missed you, Jenna!)  Kyle has always loved taking the family to many fun vacation spots.  Plus, he and the boys love to go to sporting events.  He is a great dad who really loves his family.  (Don't you love Brady's new glasses?!  We thought he looks so nice in them!)

Although we only were able to be with two of the seven children because of the long distance to the others' homes, George was able to talk to all the rest of them.  It really was a great Father's Day for George!
Happy Father's Day, George!  After 44 years of being together, I still think you are a TOP dad!

Laura, You look gorgeous in your new dress! Love the color. Hey, you're wearing black but look at all of the different colors you can coordinate with a basic color and change the look of the dress. Wow, that was profound, wasn't it!? Looks like George had a great Father's Day. So glad you have Amy and Kyle close by.
