A Special Day for a Special Grandson

This past weekend, we were able to go to Orlando to see Kyle and Kim's son, Carter, be ordained a Priest.  His father ordained him, and it was such a beautiful blessing with so many promises given through obedience.

I reminded Kyle that Carter has now passed him up in height!

It wasn't so long ago that he was a little guy like this.  He has always been such a nice young man who loves his family and works so hard in school.

Carter, we are so proud of you.  I can't believe that you could be on your mission in two short years!  Just keep up the good work of staying close to your family and the gospel!  We love you!
In addition to being in Orlando for Carter's ordination, we were able to go to a couple of Brady's lacrosse games.  It was so hot, but Brady got right out there and played so hard.

 Brady is No. 45.

Yes, we had a great weekend with Kyle and Kim's family.  Thanks so much for your great hospitality and for being able to participate in some special events of your family.

Carter is tall!! I can't believe how much he has grown and probably isn't finished. Anyway, such a great opportunity for you and George to be part of your grandson's ordination day. I enjoyed the walk through memory lane and seeing the growing times for Carter. Such a nice young man that seems to be doing all the right things.
Also, you look smashing in your scarf from our cruise ship. Wasn't it fun to have the opportunity to shop and know that we "just had to use the shipboard credit". Ha-ha. Anyway, it looks wonderful. Great post.

I agree with Beverly that Carter is getting so tall! Your posts about your family really help us get to know your grandchildren better. Kyle and Kim have such good kids. That is amazing to think that in just two years Carter could be leaving on a mission. Time really goes by quickly! P.S. That is so fun to see you wearing your scarf you bought on the ship...looks awesome!
