Oh, It's Great to See a Florida Gator!

What fun we had seeing Florida Gators in Gainesville--both kinds! We went to a swamp--Lake Alice--and saw a baby gator and several huge turtles.

But then we went to the "real Swamp" and saw where the "real Gators" play! (Uh, where is Cassie in these pictures?)

Then we went to Craig & Cassie's to play with their "baby"--baby Mia, their kitten. The girls had great fun pulling a string and have her chase after them.

And after trying to catch a lizard every day they've been here, finally they caught one! Where were the boys when we needed them? (The babysitter, Candy Baker, gets the credit for this--plus all the other fun things they did while I was at work.)

Oh, yes, and we rode bicycles in the park. What fun!

More Family Fun!

Chuck-e-Cheese provided lots of fun and excitement.

The Green Cove Springs old train station, caboose, and jail were a great hit.

Going to the MOSH was fantastic--the Museum of Science and History in downtown Jacksonville. In addition to an aquarium, lots of hands-on things to do, and some live animals, they also had an area where you got to see giant insects where they actually moved and made all kinds of sounds. It was great!

But maybe the best part of all was when Craig & Cassie came for the weekend. Lauren & Hannah were so thrilled!

The pool was great fun with Craig and Cassie!

Lauren and Hannah Come to Visit!

While Kevin and Angie, with their three boys, Taylor, Connor, and Kade, are in Brazil for the Curitiba Brazil Temple dedication, their two daughters, Lauren and Hannah, came to visit with Grandpa and Grandma. George flew to Utah on Thursday night and spent the weekend with Kyle and Kim and their family. They all had such a great time. Then he brought Lauren and Hannah back with him who were already at Kyle and Kim's. They got here Sunday night.

Lauren is 7--almost 8--and Hannah is 5. They have been so much fun. In addition to trying to catch lizards anytime they see one, here are some other fun things we have been doing:

Going all day on Memorial Day to the Jacksonville Zoo. We stayed nearly until it closed! Going to the pool, going shopping, and making doll clothes. They have been such great little girls and we love having them here!

Laura's "?" Birthday

Birthdays come around way too fast, but what a great day it was! After talking to all my children, their spouses, many of the grandchildren, and some of my siblings--all over the world, it just made me feel so happy! I thought I was going to be entirely alone on my birthday because George flew to Utah for the weekend to pick up our two little granddaughters, Lauren and Hannah. Kevin and Angie and their three oldest children are in Brazil for the dedication of the new Mormon temple in Curitiba where Kevin spent his two-year mission 15 years ago! We are so excited to spend time with the two little girls for the next couple of weeks. Anyway, bless their hearts, Craig and Cassie came over from Gainesville for the evening so I wouldn't have to be alone and we went to a Japanese Steakhouse where they fix the food right in front of you. We had such a wonderful time! Thanks so much, Craig & Cassie. It meant so much!
