She's Finally Here!

Yes, little Lola Tate Barlow arrived today! Proud parents: Jeff and Amy (taken when they first arrived at the hospital)
Thursday, March 5, 2009

7 lbs. 5 oz. - 20 inches long

Lots of black hair - Beautiful baby girl!

Jeff, getting to wear a pink armband for the very first time! Seriously, what a miracle birth is! I just felt so grateful to be a spectator in the grandeur of the whole process--when a new little spirit comes into the world. I can hardly write this--my heart is so full. I was so proud of Amy--she was such a brick through the whole thing. I think I was more impatient than she was. But everything went so well. So, I'm posting pictures taken immediately after the birth, barely cleaned up--no bath. Tomorrow I will take more, but I wanted you to see her as Jeff, Amy, and I saw her when she first came into this world.

We just think she is beautiful--it is so fitting for her to be named Lola, after my mother, who truly was one of the most beautiful women inside and out that I have ever known.

Laura-
How fun it is to see these wonderful pictures. I, too, just love the images of a baby first entering the world. She is just beautiful and I cannot believe all of that wonderful, black hair.
Amy is so lucky to have you so close by. You are an awesome mother and grandmother.
What a wonderful tribute to our grandma Lola you gave!

Laura,
The first thing when I woke up I came to the computer to see the pictures. Congratulations! Lola is just beautiful! Along with the pictures, your comments and David Archuletta's song, I just cried. The birth of a baby is just pure joy! Tell Amy and Jeff we are thrilled for them. Love, Joyce

Our class is enjoying the pictures of baby Lola. We are excited to share the news that Lauren is a cousin and I'm an aunt of this beautiful baby. Yes, what a miracle it is. What a blessing to have a daughter, as my only daughter turns 22 today I can't help but get a little teary b/c daughters, as you know touch a spot unlike any other.

She is so beautiful with all that dark hair! Congrats to the Copeland and Barlow families. Nothing compares when a new one enters a family. Love the name of course. I'm sure she spent a lot of time with Grandma Lola before arriving here. And was she born on the 5th? Special day (my birthday too!).
