Christmasing the Whole Month Long!

This year was a little unusual in that we were able to watch Kevin and Angie's kids and Kyle and Kim's kids open their presents from us while we were out in Utah for Thanksgiving.  Then the first week of the Christmas break, George and I travelled to Washington (State) to be there to watch Kent and Natalie's kids (Ethan, Ella, and Cannon) open their presents.

Ethan got little Cannon smiling with the seahorse which played soothing lullaby music when you pushed his tummy.  It always warms your heart to see Cannon smile.

No matter what Ella puts together, she seems to make it work!

Now, Ella becomes the photographer!

His mom can get Cannon to smile just by talking to him.

We all had such a fun evening together.  It just tuckered little Cannon right out.

A fun Christmas tradition I got to participate in (just because I got to go along), was Natalie and Ella taking wonderful Christmas cupcakes that Natalie had made.  They passed out Christmas cards with pictures of their family and cupcakes to all the great staff at Community Dental.

After spending nearly a week in Washington and having many other experiences which I will put in my next blog, we flew to Hawaii.  There we were able to spend a "Christmas" afternoon with John and Alison and their family, even though it was two days after Christmas when we saw them.  I'm not sure Hawaii is exactly in the middle of Florida for us and China for them, but it was a great place to meet up for the holidays!

Preston giving his grandpa a hug, thanking him for his present--so cute.

Tyson gets a kick out of everything.  He is always happy!

Parker by his Great Grandpa Rigby (who found a great place to keep track of his white hat!)

Bracken makes me laugh--he was pretty excited about his cologne from Abercrombe!

George and I were just the "carriers" for John who had ordered a wallet (made from snake skin) as well as a beautiful purse (the softest, fluffiest purse I've ever seen) from Coach for Alison for Christmas.

John had it delivered to our house, and we brought it with us.  Alison was truly surprised!

John loves to read, so we gave him gift certificates to Barnes and Noble--no more pots or pans for him!  Hah!  (Private joke!)

John and Alison gave George some beautiful shirts and ties from Shanghai.  George loved them!  They gave me a new beautiful purse, too.  Sorry I didn't get a picture of myself with it.  I loved it, too!

For each of the families that couldn't attend the Bingo party, Great Grandpa Rigby gave them the CD collection of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Last 100 Years.  They loved it!

Two beautiful Christmases on opposite sides of the Pacific--we loved being with each of the families we were able to enjoy at Christmas time.  Next year, Cameron, Craig, and Amy's families, for sure!

I just loved how you made Christmas work this year for your family. Baby Cannon's smiles are thrilling and made me happy to see. Truly wonderful to see your photos and feel the love and appreciation you have for each other. I smiled seeing the photo of George holding your hand and laying his head on your shoulder. You two are a great team!!

Wow! You really did make Christmas last all month long! That's wonderful that you could spend time with so many of your children and their families, especially with Alison and Kyle in Hawaii!!! When I see Alison each summer, I feel like I'm all caught up on how her kids have grown and what they now look like because of your blog and hers. Again, thanks from all of the family for sharing your Christmas trip with Dad. You two are amazing!!!
