The ostriches are the worst! They bite hard, and they are so persistent about the food--they will literally stick their head and neck in clear across the car! Nobody likes the ostriches!
Are these big deer? I don't know exactly what they are, but they are very gentle and fun to feed. (Who am I kidding? I don't feed any of them. I just take pictures!)
But when this gentle "deer" came around on George's side, he took his long tongue and swiped across poor little Gavin's face and hair. Afterwards, he had a spikey hairdo. We laughed so hard! And Gavin didn't cry at all!
With those huge horns, we definitely didn't open the window all the way!
He looks mean! You have to be careful how you feed them!
This brought back memories of The Great Wall in China where George had a little trouble getting off a camel--but this one only has one hump. Hah!
He even smiled for the camera.
Definitely needs dental care--I know two great dentists!
These horses were so beautiful--and huge!
We saw this cow and when we went by a little, we saw . . .
that she had just had a calf.
It hadn't even gotten up yet. We waited for a little while as it tried, but finally decided it was getting stage fright, so we went on.
Interesting animal--look at its horns.
Now to the giraffes. Everyone had fun feeding them.
Mason liked looking at the huge . . .
snake! I believe it was an Anaconda--through the glass, of course.
After being in the car for awhile and before starting the two-hour ride home, we let the kids play in the wilderness playground.
Little Gavin had been so good all day. We all had such a great time.
Before we knew it, our Spring Break was over, and it was time to fly back to Florida. Before we got on the plane, we stopped in the dental office for my permanent crown to be put on.
Riley loves to come and see his daddy at work.
Thanks again to Cameron, Anne, Craig, Cassie, and all the grandkids. We surely appreciate the fun times and great memories!

I loved reading about your week in Dallas. Although, I have to admit, it surely makes me homesick! Usually, we would have been right there along with you guys showing you around the city we love! Hopefully one day we'll all be living there again! :)
All the grandkids in Dallas are adorable. I miss being around them! And I can't believe how much Gavin has grown since we saw him in November. Adorable.
You guys are the greatest Grandparents ever!
Your pictures were certainly proof that you and George had a wonderful time with all of your activities, your children and their spouses and especially with those darling grandchildren!! One positive thing we can say about our children being spread out across the U.S. is that we can visit them and spend one-on-one time with them.
I loved all your animal photos. It is amazing how close you were to them and the funny expressions you captured with your photos. I've always said that you are the best at capturing expressions and telling a story with your photos. Now, the animals even prove it.
Laura, you are so sweet. Your comments on my blog always mean a lot to me. I LOVE reading your blog and seeing how wonderful it's going to be to be a grandma someday. You are the best. Thank you for your love and example, all my life.
