Kent's partnership now owns three dental facilities. The largest is in Sunnyside, with two satellite offices. This office in Prosser is the one that Kent will be basically centralized in. It was nearing completion while I was there, and in the last week, they have opened it for patients.
Prosser
Each of the two "satellite" offices have nine operatories apiece.
Front office and reception area.
They have to have "dental" molding in the office, plus they are putting some beautiful stone on the front of the counter.
There is a beautiful fireplace in the reception area to take the chill off the cold winter days.
This will be the kids' play area when it is finished.
Zillah
This office which Brent, Kent's partner, is basically in charge of, was finished a little ahead of the Prosser office, so it had been going about a week when I was there. Kent and Brent are going to be so busy with three offices now!
No dental office fear for Ella--in fact, she asks to have her teeth cleaned about every time she goes!
The play area in Zillah. Both offices are eventually getting a huge tree which will have slides and play areas in it. Also, there will be computer stations around the room for the kids to play computer games on.
Sunday Mornings
I always love to see the kids get all dressed up on Sunday. Ethan and Ella looked so sweet, I just had to take the picture. I was holding Cannon at the time, or I would have gotten it straight on without the blanket in the way.
Football Practice
While I was there, they had their week of conditioning for football. I would take Ethan and sit on a chair for the hour and a half just watching. It brought back so many memories of watching all five boys in their sports. Ethan has ended up playing quarterback. Grandpa and I surely would love to watch him play a real game!
Grandma-Grandchildren Date
Although they don't have a huge mall in Sunnyside, the kids and I wanted to do something fun together, so we went to lunch at the mall and sat out by the fountain.
Of course, Ella wanted to show me how much she had learned at her "real" horse riding lessons. She has learned to ride bareback, so she showed me how she presses her knees in and doesn't hang on to the saddle. I wish I could have seen her ride a real horse, but she seemed to have fun on this one, too! She just loves horses--real or not!
"Making" Cookies
I think the tradition started when Ethan was a little guy living in Gainesville. I bought some of those stamped pre-made cookies for Halloween one time, and ever since then, we love to have cookie time together.
Little Cannon was just chillin' while we were doing the cookies. This doesn't happen too often!
Having Outside Fun Together
Kent and Natalie got Ethan and Ella a trampoline. They have had more fun with it. On the hot days, they turn the sprinkler on underneath and that accomplishes two birds with one stone!
They were both trying to learn new tricks on the trampoline and wanted me to watch and take pictures of them doing it.
Visiting Brent and Erin's Home
After nearly two years of building, Brent and Erin are almost done with their home and ready to move in. It is absolutely gorgeous--they haven't forgotten anything!
This will be a waterfall with a lake at the bottom. This goes right along side the walkway to the house. Thank goodness there will be a railing along the edge of the walkway.
While we were waiting for Brent and Erin to open the house for us, everyone started having fun on the lot next door which Brent's dad owns. It is a huge grassy area which actually is used by the ward for Father and Sons overnight parties.
You know, Kent is just a big kid himself. Here, Ethan was pushing him on a tire swing.
Now, Kent was throwing the football to Ethan. I can't even begin to tell you how many times Kent threw it, and Ethan just kept running to catch it. They have done this since he was a little kid--many times in the house to Natalie's dismay!
Ella has fun at whatever she does. This is a neighbor friend of hers.
Kent and Natalie said, "You aren't putting this on the blog, are you?" Of course!
The Competition
So after pretty much having the entire city of Sunnyside, they now have a competitor who came in--and came in with a giant dental office. I believe it has 16,000 square feet! It is as big as a warehouse!
I do like their little car--
and their little mascot with his braces is adorable--but . . .

not nearly as cute as "Chomp, the Gator" (aka Dr. Copeland),

and certainly not near as "groovey"!
Well, that's the end of the adventures in Sunnyside for now. It was great being with Kent and Natalie and their family. Thanks for treating me so royally. I had a wonderful time!

Soooo cute! So wonderful that you were able to be with their family during the summer. Looks like A LOT of fabulous memories!
So glad you were able to enjoy a few moments in Sunnyside. Kent's new offices look wonderful. Ethan and Ella are just darling kids--so happy all of the time.
Kent and Natalie looked so cute in the swing with their little Cannon. Their children are just darling and they seem to be having great experiences with the activities they are involved in doing. Kent's dental practice looks like he has worked hard to make it prosper and he is to be congratulated on his efforts in putting everything in place in his career. Great report on their family.
