Lola was Isaac's cheerleader.
Before Isaac started playing, he looked like he was strolling in the park. "Oh, no," I thought. "He's not into this game."
But after he scored a goal, he was still "strolling in the park." He is so casual when he's not playing, but really goes after it when he is playing!
We were so proud of him! Even though he didn't show it, I think he liked all the attention!
After the game, Lola wanted to come to Grandma and Papa's house. I needed to make some cupcakes for a baptism later in the day, so I had her help me. I put an apron on her. She wondered what the heck it was, but she kept it on. I think I got that from my Grandmother Rigby. I never saw her without an apron while she worked in the kitchen, and I pretty much always wear one, too. My grandmother said she never could get used to people working in the kitchen and ruining their good clothes.
When Lola realized I was going to turn the mixer on, she started hollering, "I 'cared! I 'cared!" (I'm scared!) I told her to run into the play room, so she did. Each time I would turn it on, she ran back into the playroom. Then when she came out, she reminded me that she was afraid of dinosaurs and that Papa had to carry her. She is never going to get over the dinosaur thing I'm afraid!
Lola helped shake the sprinkles on top and was so proud of herself. The baptism turned out to be great. George spoke and I played the music for it. That night, it was football, football, football at the Copeland Household. Good thing I like to watch football, right? I can't say all the games came out like we wanted them to, but things can only get better next week!

Amy's kids are so darling! What a great thing for you to have those three grandkids close so that you can watch their soccer games and make cupcakes with them.
I always wear an apron also but didn't realize until you wrote that in your blog about Grandma Rigby always wearing one. I just thought it was because I didn't want to ruin my good clothes.
You are never still!! Isaac did look rather casual on the field!! They are so funny to watch at that age.
And there is nothing better than baking with little kids. I always had so much fun with that. The girls still help a lot in the kitchen. It's nice!!
Laura-You are such a wonderful grandmother. There is nothing more fun that grandparents coming to special events and baking with them! That little Lola is adorable!!
Isaac looks like he is a great soccer player and he is lucky to have grandparents to support his games. It's neat to see you and George being there for the kid's activities because I know they take a lot of time. Also, your cupcakes looked like they turned out beautifully with Lola's help. It really is sweet to have a little grand daughter sharing your baking time. However, whenever that happens with me, I wonder exactly what actually did get mixed in and what was left out of my bowl!! Ha, ha...
