A Special Young Man

This last weekend, George and I were able to go to Orlando to visit Kyle and Kim.  We wanted to make it a special weekend for Carter because even though his birthday was already past, we wanted to celebrate it with him anyway.  Jenna and Brady decorated his cake.  I think they did a very nice job.

I can't believe he is now 14 years old!  He is such an outstanding young man who works hard at everything he does--and is a wonderful example to his younger sister and brother.

We were able to watch Carter play in another football game.  It was an away game--quite a ways away, as a matter of fact.  We thought we were never going to get there, but at least by the time we got there, it wasn't raining any more like it did the last game we saw him play, which made it much easier to be a spectator.

The next day at Priesthood Meeting at church, Carter was ordained a teacher, and immediately afterward, he was set apart as the Teachers' Quorum President.  He will do such a great job in this calling!

Thanks for the great weekend, Carter.  We truly love you and are so proud of all you are doing!

Even though Dallas didn't work out, it was still a great weekend to be with Kim and Kyle's family. Yes, Carter is a great kid!!!

That's amazing that Carter is 14 years old already. What a nice looking, happy young man. He is already taller than you, Laura. Even though you didn't make it on your original trip last weekend, it looks like you definitely made up for it with your trip to Orlando.

Tell Carter a happy belated birthday from us!! He really is growing up. When they are ordained Teachers, you know that missions are right around the corner. It is so exciting to think that you now have two of your kids in Florida to enjoy these important moments with. Tell Kyle and Kim hello from us, also.
