Kyle and Kim and their family: Jenna, Brady, and Carter. Can you believe how tall Carter is getting? He just made his high school golf team, and Jenna was just elected as her middle school student body president!
Brady was so happy when he opened his baptismal gift from his parents: His very own scriptures with his name imprinted on them
Jenna showed Brady how to use the scripture stickers that Grandpa George and I gave him, plus . . .
a book about his baptismal day in which I'll put pictures of this special day for him.
After Kyle and Brady dressed in their white clothing, a member of the bishopric gave Brady a few instructions.
Kyle and Brady ready for the baptism.
After the baptism, Brady was congratulated by his bishop.
All the "cousins" at the baptism.
Jeff and Amy's family with Brady. Isaac is so excited because he will be the next grandchild to be baptized when he is eight years old. We told him we definitely plan to be there for his big day, too. Brady is the 15th grandchild baptized. George and I have been able to be at every baptism (even Parker's in Paris, France), but were unable to be at Tyson's in Shanghai, China, because we had just seen them in July and his birthday was in August, so we missed his. We said, "Never again!" This is such a big day in a young person's life--Grandpa George and I definitely want to always be there!
After the baptismal meeting, we had a wonderful barbeque at Kyle and Kim's home. You can see Kyle through the window barbequing the hamburgers. They were delicious!
These were Lola's choices for her meal! Needless to say, her mother had a few other suggestions.
I laugh when I see this picture: First because of the blue frosting all over Isaac's mouth, but secondly, because of his missing two front teeth. Isaac had his first loose tooth. It was so loose that Amy asked if I would pull it while we were at church. Issac and I quietly slipped out of the church meeting and went into the restroom where I did, just like I've done a couple hundred times before. (I pulled all seven kids' teeth out when they were younger, plus even neighborhood kids would come to me after hearing about my "dental" reputation--must be why we have two sons that are dentists! Hah!). But this time, after I flipped Isaac's tooth out on the first try, instead of the usual reaction of shock, being terrified, or crying, he looked up at me and said, "Now, what?" I laughed so hard. That was his reaction! I said, "Well, it might have a little blood, so you might want to get a paper towel," which he did. He stopped at the drinking fountain, got a drink, and we went right back into church! Sadly, the tooth popped down the drain of the sink we were standing over. I should have known that! He pulled his second tooth at school by himself, and again, the tooth was lost.
Brady, what a really special day this was! Thanks to you for being such a wonderful grandson who chooses the right, and thanks, also, to your entire family for making it such a wonderful day that we will never forget!

What an exciting day! I can't believe how tall Carter is (and how darling). Everyone looks sooo much older (except you and dad). Isaac having a loose tooth at the baptism is not a surprise.....it's always at random locations you have to play dentist. Brady look so proud and happy. Wish we could have been there!
Brady is such a cute young man! It's hard to believe all of our grandchildren are growing up so fast. However, we have had only seven baptized thus far, but we have been able to attend all of those baptisms also. I agree with you that those are just too important of events to miss.
Brady is such a cute kid!! That smile lights up a room. So good to see Kyle and Kim's family and how they are growing up. You can tell they love their grandparents. Of course, it is always nice to see Amy and Jeff's family supporting as always. This looked like another special family get-together for the Copelands.
