One Last Utah Event

Before I leave the activities that I enjoyed in Utah, I want to post one more amazing activity--I did not participate in this activity, but I so admire all those who did.
Connor told his mom that he wanted to go hiking before he left on his mission.  Therefore, Angie worked so hard to gather friends and family together for a gigantic hike--to the top of Mt. Timpanogos and back!  They started out about 3:00 a.m. after she had made dozens of calls and changed the starting time dozens of times--I was so impressed with her patience!  Anyway, finally it was decided that was the starting time and they all agreed where to meet.  This is the little building at the top where those who make it get to sign their names.

This is the unbelievable view from the top!
Taylor, Connor, Parker, and Cole at the top.
Lauren and her friend McKenna.  Yes, they made it!

I love the posting Parker put on Instagram.  He seriously looks like he is on top of the world:

The following took place from 3 AM to 12 PM.
Hike - 17 miles
Height - 11,2752 feet
Scale of 1-10 on how close I came to dying - 10

When they all came in the door, there were definitely different degrees of pain manifested--with some preferring not to talk at all.  But later, they all relayed the experience--I think for many it was, "Been there, done that--probably will never do it again in my life!"  Hah!

Anyway, very proud of all of them.  They set a goal and accomplished it!  Thanks, Angie, for getting it all set up!
