December Activities

The month of December is such a special time with beautiful Christmas activities and other family events.  Some of the wonderful memories I will have of this December are:

Lighting of the Tree in Green Cove

 Although Green Cove is a tiny town, it has many fun activities to involve the community.  We always love to go to the Christmas tree lighting in front of the Town Hall.  I loved going with Jeff and Amy and their family to this fun event.

Tran-Siberian Orchestra

George knows how much I love plays and music events.  Last year, he took me to The Rockettes Christmas Review when they came to Jacksonville right before Christmas.  This year, we did something very different.  He took me to the Tran-Siberian Orchestra.  Wow!  It was a night of lasers, smoke, lights, very animated electric guitar players, violinists, and mostly fast-paced music like you've never seen or heard before.  It was quite the experience!

 Riley Boy Comes to Visit

Craig and Cassie went on a little 4-day, 3-night cruise with some friends, so we were thrilled when we were able to watch Riley for those days.  Amy helped me out for the two days I was working, then I would pick him up on my way home from work.  He is such a fun little guy, and we enjoyed having him so much.  

Riley and Lola got along so well.

 Even though we tried to have many fun days with Riley while his parents were gone, he was one mighty happy little guy when he saw his mommy and daddy after their vacation!


Jeff's Birthday

We had a fun barbecue in honor of Jeff for his birthday.  He has become quite the Gator fan since he moved to Florida, so of course, we had to have Gator colors and flags.

Happy Birthday, Jeff!  We surely love and appreciate you for the wonderful son-in-law you are.
