One More Special Day in Utah

After returning to Utah from Idaho, we spent the rest of the day in downtown Salt Lake.

City Creek is one of the prettiest indoor-outdoor shopping centers ever!  Nice weather, the sun roof retracts.  Bad weather, the sun roof covers giving more shelter.  What a novel idea!

George and I met Kevin and Angie and the kids to do a little shopping and Christmas returns.  It was brutally cold that night!
Kyle and Kim were, also, in town, so Jenna came, too.  We were so excited to see her!
Looking through the window at the beautifully decorated grounds around the temple.

Kevin and Angie in front of the temple where they were married over 19 years ago.  They look just as young now as they did then!
Taylor and Ellie met us at Temple Square, too.
Did I say it was cold?????  Absolutely freezing!

Taylor with his two sisters.  They're so glad he is home!
To warm up a little, we went inside the Joseph Smith Building.  I was so sad to see that they had already taken down their huge Christmas tree that they always have in the foyer.

Connor and Grandpa George.

This was the end of the Utah fun--next morning, we would be flying to California to meet up with John and Alison and their family.

Each year we debate whether or not we should see the lights on Temple Square. However, we go and it is magical every visit AND we are always grateful we made the effort. I'm so glad you were able to go.
