Lola Turns Two!

I can't believe it was two years ago that I was in the delivery room with Jeff and Amy watching little Lola come into this world.  We all thought she was so beautiful, but I think she just keeps getting more beautiful.  Plus, she has been so much fun!  Now, here she is turning two!

Amy had decorated the room so special for Lola.

And she got Lola her own little Dora cake.

Craig and Cassie just returned from their 8-day cruise, so they were excited to come to the party with Riley.  They were here last year for Lola's birthday.  We need to make this an annual occasion!

Riley loved the balloons.

And Lola loved having someone play in her kitchen with her.  (Usually it's Jeff or me!  Riley was much more fun because he actually fit inside!)

Lola wanted to show Riley her present that she already opened!  What fun this will be now that it's getting nicer weather!

Lola even let Riley take her baby for a walk.

We then had a wonderful dinner Amy prepared.

Now, it was birthday cake time.  Lola wasn't quite sure what to do when the candle was lit.

Isaac and George tried to show her.

Then Garrett came in on the scene to try to help her.

Finally, the candle was out--but I don't think it was by Lola.

Don't tell Lola to say "cheese."

Lola got her very own Hello Kitty DVDs.  I'll bet her mommy watches them as much as she does!

Don't you love the expression of what was in the big packages--only clothes?  But her mom was surely happy!  Silly Grandmas that pick out clothes for birthday gifts!

But Riley clapped politely . . .

And Lola still thanked Papa and Grandma for the gifts.  Thank you, Lola, for being such a fun little granddaughter.  We had a great time at your party!

Lola is soooo darling! My favorite picture is Lola opening the gift with the cute little dress---she could care less....give her a few years (: What a fun day!

I love it! You always are so thoughtful and kind to all of us on our birthdays and special days. I can't imagine you not being there for ANY of them! Which means, you do realize that if Lola is anything like me (oh, please!) then she'll be sure to have you with her for on ALL her special days, too! Her life will never be complete without her Grandma and Papa there.

We are so lucky to be by you and Papa during these special days of our lives. I can't imagine it being any different.

Thanks again for this darling post...and for making Lola's birthday complete.

xoxo

Lola is the cutest little two-year-old! I can see why Amy wants another one (along with her two darling boys!)!

What a fun party!! Happy birthday to a sweet little 2-year-old with a very special name. I really love seeing you and George holding your grand kids because I remember how lonely you both were for some time in Florida without family. It has been fun to see them flock to be with you there. My favorite photos of George on this blog are him holding Lola as she is trying to blow out the candles. He is such a cute grandpa.
