Montserrat Monastery and Bascilica

Making the ride on the winding roads through the mountains to get to the Montserrat was a thrill in itself, but when we arrived there, I was utterly speechless.  The buildings are all nestled between the most unique rock creations you have ever seen, and you are literally up in the clouds!  This is the home of 80 monks and 50 young boys who make up the famous boys' choir which was started in the 13th century.  We couldn't wait to hear them, but unfortunately we were there on a Saturday, and although they live at Montserrat during the week, they go home on the weekends, so we didn't have the pleasure of hearing them.  We will definitely have to go again!
