A Stroll Along Barcelona's Most Famous Walking Street and Market

Everyone who visits Barcelona must stroll along the LaRambla, the one-mile, pedestrian-only street in the heart of Barcelona.  With the many people, shops, vendors, flowers, and street entertainers, it is lots of fun to be a part of all of it.  Although it was lightly raining, it didn't matter to us!

I think Doug and George gave up on us at times because we loved to take so many pictures, but they seriously are enjoying them now!  Hah!

I made one purchase in the shops along LaRambla--this darling Spanish dress for Lola.  I just couldn't resist!

Along the walking street is the market which has been here since 1835--LaBouqueria Market.  It is an adventure just to go through it!  So many people buying every different kind of fruit, vegetable, meats, and even some very unique items, such as . . .

Lambs' heads--with the teeth and eyes, and everything!!!  No, I didn't make a purchase here!

You just have to see the entire market, plus a famous person we saw there, by clicking on my sister's blog.  The items in the market are a show in themselves!

I absolutely LOVE Lola's dress. That was a perfect purchase in Barcelona. Looks like the Barcelona meat markets are up there with the Chinese markets when it comes to attractive meat shopping (:
